I'm a computer technician who is retired. I spend my time learning languages, chiefly European languages. I can understand when written most of the European languages of the Germanic, Romance, Slavic, and Celtic families, and also some Greek and a little bit of Hindi, Hebrew, and Arabic. I have no background in the East Asian languages except a very little elementary Japanese. Modern languages have been a hobby of mine since I was a young boy, and I am well-read in linguistic theory. I am a vegetarian and like cooking.
